The Alta E30-DD has a front-illuminated deep depletion spectroscopy format CCD with high sensitivity in the near-infrared without the fringing (“etaloning”) characteristic of back-illuminated CCDs. This CCD is NIMO (non-MPP) with higher dark current than other E2V AIMO CCDs.
