"Rear View" Port Makes Collimation Even Easier, Faster Than With Standard Laser Collimators

With Orion's LaserMate Deluxe, not only will you get perfect alignment of your reflector's optics, but you will get it faster.

Here's why. With a standard laser collimator, collimation is a two-step process. First you look down the front of the telescope to see if the return laser beam overlaps the emitted beam. If it doesn't, you adjust the collimating bolts on the rear of the scope. Then, you go back to step one. You repeat this two-step, front-to-rear maneuver until the beams overlap, which means the optics are aligned.

With LaserMate Deluxe, collimation becomes a simpler, one-step procedure. A "rear view" port in the anodized aluminum housing lets you see both the emitted and return beams while standing at the rear of the telescope. You just tweak the collimation bolts until the beams overlap. Done. You get laser-precise collimation at lightning speed!
