Gibraltar5 Mount

$920.00
[G5M-3014]
Longer, heavier 4" scopes are best matched to the rock-solid Gibraltar mount. The larger bearing surfaces and thicker wood legs best handle the loads, especially for high power viewing. The Gibraltar tripods are finely crafted and American made in a choice of solid ash or walnut wood for beauty and quick vibration dampening. Leg extensions raise the tripod height to 5 feet, still ideally sized for use with Tele Vue's Air-Chair observing stool. An accessory tray ties the legs together for rigidity.

The new Gibraltar5 mount mates the standard Gibralter tripod with a new larger, heavier-duty Gibraltar 5 Head. The new head is an inch wider than the original Tele-Pod version, has larger bearings, and cradle holes to accept the NP127 baseplate as well as all other Tele Vue scopes. It accepts all accessories such as the Caddy Set and the Sky Tour Encoder Kit. A set of spacers is required to fasten the azimuth encoder cover to the wider baseplate of the Gibraltar5 Head.

Tripods can be purchased separately from mounts.

Specifications:
  • Weight Ash / Walnut (lbs.): 17 / 20
  • Height Range (feet): 3 - 5
