The Meade AC Wall Adapter for the LX200 series telescopes has two parts: a transformer converting normal 110-120 volt household AC power to 12-volt DC power, and a 6' grounded AC cord which connects the transformer to normal AC household outlets.

An 8' cord permanently attached to the transformer ends in a 5.5mm male plug which fits into the LX200's 12-volt DC power receptacle.

The LX200 AC Wall Adapter provides 5-amp, 12-volt DC output, which is substantial enough to operate the telescopes.
