Lumicon Polarizing Filters are manufactured from optically flat Hoya polarized glass. They are the best for cutting all glare and increases contrast on bright celestial objects such as the moon at full illumination, and can be double-stacked with other Lumicon filters for use on bright planets. They are also useful for daylight observation of land, sea and nature. In addition to polarizing the light, they reduce its intensity by a factor of about 3.

Also available in rotating polarized cell designs for variable levels of light transmittance to any value between 5 and 30%.
